Atheism, Science, and Islam
Traditional Muslim arguments for the existence of God prove the existence of a necessary being whereas modern intelligent design arguments prove the existence of a supernatural being. New Atheists argue against the existence of God as a supernatural being, not God as a necessary being. This makes Muslims immune to many of their arguments. Watch Hamza Karamali explain this distinction, unpack New Atheist arguments, illustrate how to respond to them, and and answer questions on the problem of evil and the place of evolution in an Islamic worldview.
