The Linguistic Power of the Quran - A Detailed Tafsir of Juz’ Amma Taught Live

The eloquence of the Quran is the greatest miracle of the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace). Everyone in ancient Arabia, whether friend or foe, was shaken by its power and saw clearly that its linguistic beauty surpassed anything that any human being could produce.

We need two things to grasp this miracle. First, we need to see rationally why Islam is true. Second, we need to learn the ancient Arabian context of its revelation.

This course builds on the Why Islam is True course and uses it to give the rational context of all of the suras in juz’ ‘amma and to unpack the rational arguments that they contain.

It combines that with an explanation of the historical context in which these suras were revealed and an introduction to some of the most important concepts in the traditional Islamic science of Arabic eloquence (balagha) to help you imagine how the Quran was experienced by the ancient Arabians who grasped its miraculous eloquence.
