REVIVING LOGIC AND CRITICAL THINKING IN ISLAMIC INSTITUTIONS (2-Day Intensive in Toronto)

*Note - This is an advanced course that requires (a) completion of the Why Islam is True course (whether online or in-person on the ground) and (b) a working knowledge of logic and formal reasoning. It is suitable for alims, alimat, students of sacred knowledge, students and teachers of philosophy, and university students or working professionals who are used to critical thinking.
Our ulama have a rich tradition of logic, theology, and a deep rational engagement with the philosophical ideas that were prevalent in their times. This two-day intensive series of four seminars will reconnect graduates of Islamic seminaries to this rich tradition, explaining complex concepts in Islamic logic and epistemology as found in our scholarly tradition, and applying them to answer modern philosophical questions and develop a deep understanding of the rational arguments for Why Islam is True.
Registered students will receive a pre-release copy of "Seven Formal Arguments For Why Islam is True" by Hamza Karamali, along with a glossary of traditional kalam terms translated into the language of modern philosophy.
ONLINE AND RECORDED ACCESS
This intensive is open to online participants, who will have the option of participating live or to watch the recordings of the live sessions afterwards. They will also receive a pdf copy of the coursebook.
Online students will get first and immediate access to never-before-seen cutting-edge kalam research that comprehensively applies traditional kalam and mantiq to tackle the most pressing philosophical problems of our times. Kalam is dead. This will bring it back to life.
Online students will get the Zoom livestream (Contractual)
Online students will have access to an online forum on which they can ask their questions (Contractual)
Online students will have two dedicated ask-me-anything live-sessions with Shaykh Hamza on the following weekend, one in the early morning on September 2 and one late at night on September 3. They can bring all of their questions and anything else they would like to explore. (Contractual)
Online students will have lifetime access to the livestream recording (5 years contractual plus promise of lifetime)
Online students will also have lifetime access to all future course upgrades, which will include upgraded course recordings and real-world application learning activities. (non-contractual promise).
